  • Safe, fast and comfortable

  • Effortless daily makeup

Are you looking for bolder, fuller-looking eyebrows? Do you want to enhance your facial appearance with more defined brows? Eyebrow embroidery might be the perfect solution for you. At Jo Artysan, we specialise in providing the best eyebrow embroidery services tailored to your individual needs.

Eyebrow embroidery is a semi-permanent makeup technique where our skilled artists expertly apply colour pigments to the skin's surface. This method helps fill sparse brow areas, creating natural-looking, beautifully defined eyebrows. You can choose from many pigment colours to perfectly complement your features and achieve your desired look. With proper care, the results of eyebrow embroidery can last between 8 months to 1.5 years, varying amongst individuals.

Our experienced artists at Jo Artysan ensure a safe, quick, and virtually painless procedure, leaving you with stunning results. Say goodbye to the hassle of daily eyebrow makeup with our eyebrow embroidery services.

Types of Eyebrow Embroidery

Every woman has her unique aesthetic that influences her makeup preferences. Whether you prefer a natural, cute, sexy, classy or bold look, Jo Artysan offers procedures for a range of eyebrow embroidery styles to match your desires.

Ombre Powder Brows

The Ombre Powder Brows technique is all about gradient shading and involves a pure shading technique with no hair strokes. This timeless and classic style starts lighter at the front of the brows and gradually darkens towards the ends, providing a soft, makeup-ready appearance. Ombre Powder Brows are perfect if you love the consistently trendy and filled-in brow look.

9D Microshading

Combining the best microblading and ombre powder brows techniques, 9D Microshading Brows offers a harmonious blend of hair strokes and shading. This style is ideal for those with little to no eyebrow hair, aiming for a natural yet enhanced look. It provides fullness and depth, giving you a makeup-ready appearance without the daily hassle.

Artysan Signature Brows

Achieve ultimate fluffy, feathered brows with our award-winning Artysan Signature Brows. Using an ultra-fine pen, our professional artists meticulously implant hair-like stroke by stroke, creating a fuller volume eyebrow look. This style is particularly suited for individuals with sparse brows, incorporating advanced microblading techniques in the brow arena to give you a hyper-realistic, soft-edged finish.

Nano Brows

While similar to microblading, this nanoblading technique uses much finer needles to create precise and natural-looking eyebrow hair strokes. Like microblading, Nano Brows use machines with ultra-fine needles to craft precise and natural-looking hair strokes. This technique is ideal for oily skin types, where traditional microblading is less effective. Nano Brows are perfect for those with sparse or thin eyebrows, offering a highly detailed and realistic finish. This method is excellent for anyone looking for super natural-looking brows without daily makeup applications.

Gentlemen Brows

Jo Artysan is proud to offer Gentlemen Brows, specifically catering to men seeking a natural enhancement. By replicating natural hair stroke patterns and applying subtle shading where needed, we create fuller and more groomed brows tailored to each client's unique facial features.

Eyebrow Embroidery Process

Getting eyebrow embroidery at Jo Artysan is a straightforward and relaxing experience. The process begins with a thorough consultation to ensure you receive the best results tailored to your preferences:

  1. Customer Registration: Start by filling out a Client Registration Form, where we'll collect your details for our records.

  2. Consultation: Meet with your experienced brow artist to explore the different eyebrow embroidery styles we offer. During this consultation, you'll discuss your desired eyebrow shape, colour, and style with your designated brow artist, and your artist will advise the best course of action.

  3. Design and Preparation: The artist will measure and design the optimal shape for your eyebrows based on your golden facial ratio, ensuring it complements your facial features.

  4. Numbing and Application: Once you approve the design, our artist will apply numbing cream to your brow area, leaving it for about 20 to 25 minutes to ensure your comfort during the procedure. Afterwards, the artist will carefully use fine needles to insert the colour pigments into your eyebrows. Depending on your chosen style, the process may take 1.5 to 2.5 hours. It is not uncommon for clients to feel so relaxed that they fall asleep during the procedure.

  5. Final Touches and Aftercare: Upon completion, the artist will make any necessary finishing touches to perfect your new eyebrows. You will receive detailed aftercare instructions to ensure ideal results and longevity of your eyebrow embroidery.

Am I a Suitable Candidate for Eyebrow Embroidery?

Eyebrow embroidery is a versatile beauty enhancement, but there are certain conditions under which this procedure may not be advisable. You may not be a suitable candidate for eyebrow embroidery if:

● You are currently taking Accutane or blood-thinning medications;
● You are pregnant;
● You have diabetes;
● You have infectious diseases;
● You are currently undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy;
● You have a history of skin disorders, such as keloids (smooth, hard growths resulting from excessive scar tissue).

If you have any concerns or questions about whether eyebrow embroidery is for you, our experienced team at Jo Artysan is here to provide guidance and ensure your safety and satisfaction.

What Should I Avoid Before Having Eyebrow Embroidery?

Before going for your eyebrow embroidery session, here are some activities you need to halt to avoid complications and for better results:

● Avoid alcohol and caffeine two days before the procedure.
● Avoid taking blood thinning medication or supplements two days before your session. If you need to take it consistently, please consult your doctor first.
● Two weeks before your session, please avoid going for brow tinting, chemical peels, or laser treatments.
● Have a 2-week gap between your last BTX/Filler appointment and your eyebrow embroidery session. Please note that BTX/Fillers may affect the position of the eyebrow embroidery when the effect wears off.

Post-Procedure Care and Healing Process

After your eyebrow embroidery procedure, it is normal to experience scabbing between the 2nd and 5th days. As such, your eyebrows may appear slightly darker than expected. Avoid touching or peeling the scabs, as they will naturally dry up and fall off as part of the healing process.

In some cases, the colour lightens by up to 50 per cent, depending on your skin type, age, lifestyle choices, and skincare routine, among other things. The initial downtime typically lasts about 5 to 10 days, and everyone’s healing process is different, so it is essential to be patient and follow the aftercare instructions provided by your artist.

The photos below show the eyebrows' condition right after the procedure and healed brows after 1 month.

Disclaimer: The photos displayed represent the results achieved by our clients, and results may not be the same for everyone. Individual results vary based on factors such as skin type, hair growth patterns, the condition of your natural brows, existing status of residual brows etc. We encourage you to schedule a consultation with our skilled artists to discuss your specific needs and expectations.

Eyebrow Embroidery Aftercare

Aftercare for eyebrow embroidery is very simple. After the session (Day 1), you must wash your brows carefully and frequently to keep them clean. You must also avoid excessive sweating, swimming, and suntans for the next four days. Be sure to refrain from scratching your brows and let the scabs that appear fall off naturally. We also provide a handy aftercare kit to help you with this.

If you opted for the nano brows style, the good news is that there is no downtime. After the session, you can wash your brows as you normally would. You must still avoid excessive sweating, swimming, and suntans for the next four days and let your scabs heal naturally.

Here are a few other helpful tips.

● Use sunscreen on your eyebrows daily to protect the pigments from UV rays, which can cause fading and discolouration.
● Avoid harsh skincare products such as exfoliants, retinoids, and other strong skincare products on the brow area, as these can break down the pigments.
● Schedule touch-up appointments, typically every 8-15 months, to maintain the colour and shape of your eyebrows.
● Keep the eyebrow area moisturised with a gentle, non-irritating moisturiser.
● Maintain a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet and adequate hydration, as overall skin health can affect the longevity of the pigment.
● Limit exposure to chlorinated pools and salt water, which can accelerate pigment fading.
● When removing makeup, be gentle around the brow area to avoid unnecessary friction that can wear down the pigment.

Where touch-ups are concerned:

Initial Touch-Up: A follow-up session 4-8 weeks after the first session helps to refine and perfect your brows.
Annual Touch-Ups: Yearly touch-ups (typically every 8-15 months) help maintain the colour and definition of the brows as the pigment gradually fades over time.

    We do not recommend expectant ladies to do embroidery treatments as there are no studies on how the contents in pigments used in microblading might affect the fetus. However you can always come back after you have delivered and we will be happy to transform you into a beautiful mummy!
  • I have done eyebrow embroidery before, can I do a new treatment?"
    We recommend you sending a picture of your current brows to us so that we can assess it for you. If your current embroidery is already faded or thinning, we will be able to give a new treament. However, if it is very dark or thick, our beauty artists will need to assess the condition thoroughly prior to securing a treatment for you.
  • Can i exercise right after the treatment?
    We highly recommend to refrain from exercising the first 4 days after the treatment. This is to prevent sweat and bacteria from entering the treatment area and keeping it clean. However, if you feel the need to exercise, we recommend you to only engage in light and gentle exercises.
